Danger Quit Smoking – Why You Must Stop

I don’t think a doctor is the best person to help you with quitting smoking, seeing as so many of them know the hazards but smoke also. I think the best way to quit is to find a person who has succeeded at it before. Their own stories might inspire yours.
With your life on the line, you should have no trouble quitting the nicotine. If you think you cannot ever quit, just wait until you get that doctor’s report telling you your neck drag might be your last. I have seen more than a few people get converted at that life turning point.
Nicotine is addictive; that is why so many people make claims all the time of trying to quit, but they never quite seem to succeed. To break the habit, you have to break the addiction. And to do that, you have to go about it the very same way you would break any other addiction? by following doctor’s orders.
Quitting the cigarette is no holiday because while you are trying, the darned thing is still holding on to you. I know of people who have nearly driven themselves crazy while trying their hands at it, and yet they failed. I’ll warn you now; you cannot stop smoking unless you dedicate your life to it.
The thing about addictions, they are not only in your body, but in your mind also. Breaking an addiction, especially to a substance like nicotine, you have to attack it both physically and psychologically. Anything short of that, and you’d only be wasting your time.
You must have come across folks who look miserable in everything they are doing, and when you ask them they say that they are trying to quit smoking. I charge you to look for them in a few days, and they’d probably be smoking more than they ever did before the attempt to quit. That’s because they were going about it the wrong way. You don’t want to go down that road, so read up first, and then get professional help.
Smoking, like drinking, is one thing you get yourself into but that you cannot get yourself out of. You need professional help, like from a shrink or a medical doctor or something. Since they understand how the habit has gotten to your brain and to your mind, they will have the tips that will help you.
Do not hesitate to share every experience with the person trying to help you kick the smoking habit. Anything that you hold back might influence their judgment adversely, so that you don’t get the advice that you really need to get. Quitting smoking is serious business, and you have to treat it as such.
Cigarrette Smoking Quit – Useful Ideas To Stop Smoking

Hanging around people who smoke is a sure way to get back into the habit. How about you change your friends, especially if they are not as interested in quitting as you are? Spend more time around people with healthier habits, and reorient your mind, will you?
When that monster rears its ugly head again, kick it in with a bout of something else that you love to do; something that will take your mind away to something else. The urge to smoke will surely come back another time, but just go on ahead and do the same thing all over again. That is the best way to deal with the urge.
You got yourself into smoking, you can get yourself out; but don’t go thinking that it is a piece of cake, because it isn’t. You will have to change a whole lot of your daily living habits if you are looking to make it stick, otherwise the feelings will come rushing back, and this time you might not be able to resist it.
If you feel like smoking, you could say some encouraging words to yourself, and then simply refuse to pick up the stick. This takes a bit of conscious effort, but it works. Some doctors might even suggest that if you still were thinking about it in 30 minutes, then go get it? It means that that technique is not working and you need another one.
Deal with a nicotine craving by finding another interest, an engaging one. It is important that what you decide to do does not continue to remind you of the cigarette. If it does, you could just as well be wasting your time because it is only then a matter of time before you subconsciously light another stick and take a few drags.
Cigarette smoking can be dealt with by abstinence. Now this abstinence has got to come from your mind and not somewhere else. Think about it and say no to the urge to smoke every time the need crops up within you. You can get to the point where the feeling eventually stops, but it is quite some journey, so prepare for it.
The same way you would deal with drinking, you have to handle smoking like it is a disease. Some physicians may even suggest some medications that you may take, or even incarceration. If it will keep you from smoking long enough for the urge to wane, it is worth it.
Have you thought of doing a puzzle? Yeah right, a puzzle? These things are so engaging that you might find it hard to do that and think of smoking at the same time. Do the puzzles every time you feel like taking a couple of drags on a stick of cigarette, and maybe the urges will stop.
Healt Quit Smoking – Health Effects Of Tobacco Smoking

You may know them already, but if you don’t, then it is high time you were informed on the negative health effects of tobacco smoking. They are why there is such a large campaign against smoking and smokers in the country, and why even though a lot of people still smoke as it were, most of them are not excited about showing their faces out there and flaunting the habit; it is why virtually every smoker on the planet is trying to quit smoking today.
Below you will see a few scary statistics that will convince you that tobacco smoking is not for you and you need to quit already before you end up like” like Humphrey Bogart.
You perhaps never knew that up to 442,000 people die from illnesses caused by cigarette smoking each year in the United States alone. As for people who suffer from lung cancer specifically, smoking accounts for nearly 90 percent of deaths. Other cancers are caused or greatly worsened by the presence of carcinogens from tobacco smoke and its chemical constituents, such as cancers of the larynx and oral cavity, the esophagus, bladder, kidney, and pancreatic melanoma. Cigarette smoke also contains some tar which is absorbed by lung cells, causing them to die, and which damage the cilia in your upper airways, leaving you exposed to infection.
Nicotine in tobacco causes arteries to constrict, lowering skin temperature and reducing blood flow to your hands and feet. This causes a rise in your blood carbon monoxide content that deprives the body of oxygen, binds to your red blood cells and forces your heart to pump more blood through the body. Rather than being helpful, the effect of this phenomenon is negative because it is often what results in many cardiac infections and diseases that stem from smoking, especially coronary heart disease or chronic airway obstruction that often culminate in death.
For more reasons to stop smoking, the habit also increases your risk of stroke by 50 percent, and causes both birth defects for children born to mothers who smoke during pregnancy, and increased risk of sudden infant death syndrome. Cigarette smoking destroys an important brain enzyme known as monoamine oxidase B (MAO B), which is vital for breaking down excess dopamine in your system. Without this enzyme, the dopamine neurotransmitter that triggers pleasure-seeking behavior is over secreted and you end up craving cigarettes more.
Worse, it doesn’t end with just you; even people around you who do not smoke are at risk from the effects of environmental tobacco smoke (ETS) that you release into the atmosphere when you exhale. Basically, the chemicals that come out are the same as the ones you breathe in, so that your loved ones could die too. Your secondhand smoke can aggravate asthma, pneumonia, and bronchitis, and impair blood circulation.
There is no need to speak too extensively about it – you need to stop smoking already; otherwise not just you, but your loved ones also could die very painful deaths from complications that arise from your bad habit.
